Crown and stem
For a winder that slips, sticks or has come away.
Crystal replacement
Scratched, chipped or cracked glass.
Movement service
Cleaned, oiled and regulated so it keeps time again.
Strap and bracelet
Links added or removed, pins and springbars replaced.
Water resistance
Gaskets replaced once the case has been opened.
Gold watch bands
Mesh and link bands soldered, hinges and safety chains repaired.
Case refinishing
Scratched watch cases polished, or given back their brushed finish.
Jewelry Repair
Ring sizing
Up or down. For most rings we add gold rather than stretch the band, so it keeps its full thickness.
Chain and clasp
Broken links, worn clasps, snapped solder joints.
Restringing
Pearls and beads, knotted between each one as they should be.
Stone tightening
Loose stones secured before you lose one.
Structural repair
Cracked bands, broken claws that hold the stone, worn shoulders.
Replating
White gold and rhodium plated silver brought back to a bright white finish once the old plating has worn.
Cleaning and polishing
Bringing back the finish without wearing down the metal.
Engraving
Rings, pendants and watch cases.
Worn claws rebuilt
The small claws that hold a stone built back up before it can fall out.
Earring posts and backs
New posts fitted, with push backs, screw backs or lever backs to match.
Laser welding
Precise joins on delicate pieces, and close to stones where an open flame could do damage.
Finishes
Antique, satin or brushed finishes put back, or a high polish if you would rather it shine.
Eyeglass Repair
We repair eyeglasses too, at the same bench. Bring your glasses in and we will look at them and tell you what can be done, and what it costs, before we start.
Broken frames
Metal frames that have snapped or cracked, welded back together.
Arms
Bent or broken arms, the parts that go over your ears, straightened or joined back on so they open and close properly.
Around the lens
The metal that holds the lens, repaired so the lens sits tight again.
How It Works
- Bring it in, mail it, or send a photo. We take repairs by post from anywhere in the United States. For custom work, a photo or a sketch is enough to begin.
- We look at it and quote you. No work starts until you have a price and have said yes.
- We do the work here. It stays at our bench. Nothing goes out to a third party.
- You collect it, or we ship it back. Insured if you ask, and we tell you the day it goes out.
