Pink tourmaline is a hard stone that holds up well in a ring worn every day. Opal is softer, so it is happiest in a pendant or a pair of earrings, or in a ring kept away from knocks. Many of the opals here are lab created, with the same play of color at a gentler price, and each listing says which kind it is.
